It began with our founder, Alina Zilberman, who made the bold decision to leave her career as a programmer in Tel Aviv to seek a life of deeper fulfillment. Her path led her to India, where she spent three inspiring years exploring the country’s vibrant culture and spirituality.
In India, Alina discovered the joy of creating. Her newfound passion for natural fabrics and sustainable living ignited a desire to design clothing that aligned with her values. With no formal training, but guided by intuition and determination, she began a journey of learning and crafting that would evolve into the Shantima brand.
Returning to Israel, Alina brought her vision to life. In 2012, Shantima was born—a name inspired by the Sanskrit word “Shanti,” meaning peace. This word captures the essence of the brand, embodying tranquility, balance, and freedom.
